Erythema exsudativum multiforme, major form

Basal cell carcinoma, destructive, since many years progressive, large-area, protuberant, foetid smelling tumor in a 100-year-old woman. Complete loss of the orbit, maxillary sinus, zygomatic arch and eyeball as well as partial loss of the glabella.

Blastospores of C.albicans after systemic manifestation in an immunocompromised patient; kidney; PAS staining (PD Dr. Y. Koch).

Lichen planus mucosae: flat, veil-like, white or opal papules and plaques of the buccal mucosa, which condense at the end of the teeth. sporadically also splatter-like whitish papules and plaques. the mucosal changes have existed for 6 months and do not cause any significant complaints.

Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin: painless, flat, ulcerated, weeping, plate-like ulcer of coarse consistency and with a lip-like wall at the edge of the ulcer which has been present for > 1 year. The coarse-callous edge is indicative of malignant neoplasia.

Lichen planus (classic type): veil-like, whitish, blurred, symptomless plaques on the hard and soft palate; in places flat (painful with acidic foods) erosions.

Calcinosis (cutis) dystrophica in burn scar

Pemphigus vulgaris (localized stage): chronically persistent extensive, painful erosions (DD: aphthae)

Basal cell carcinoma ulcerated: Slowly growing, painless lump on the bridge of the nose that has existed for a long time. 3 months of crust formation and weeping. 1 week after the crusts have come off, this finding.

Zoster generalisatus in drug-induced immune depression

Fasciitis, necrotizing. Foudroyante, extensive defect formation.

Toxic epidermal necrolysis. mostly picture of erythema exsudativum multiforme. necrolytic detachment of the skin beginning at the knee and lower leg.

Ulcus cruris venosum. infected (Pseudomonas aeroginosa), with yellowish-greenish coatings overlaid ulceration covering the lower leg in a 78-year-old female patient with CVI. Heavily inflamed wound edges; very severe pain. pain relief with elevated position of the leg.

Acropathia ulcero-mutilans familiaris. large, completely areactive ulcer (at pressure point) extending to the heel bone. the 40-year-old patient has been suffering from peripheral polyneuropathy for more than 10 years with sensory disturbances for pain, temperature and touch. babinski sign is positive!

Basal cell carcinoma, nodular, centrally ulcerated tumor with a clear wall at the edge of the temporal region. Ulcer not painful. Characteristic for the diagnosis "basal cell carcinoma ulcerated" is the raised, reflecting wall of the "ulcer" with the bizarre vascular structures already visible with the naked eye, which run over the wall (see edge region below right).

Rhagade: transverse deep painful rhagades in severe plantar psoriasis.

Lichen planus erosivus mucosae. painful gingivitis existing for more than one year in cases of currently unsuccessful therapies by the dentist. overall progressive course. chronically stationary, extensive, border-like, painful erythema and erosions as well as extensive whitish plaques are visible.
