Image Licenses

All image material on Altmeyers Encyclopaedia is copyrighted and property of EMG GmbH & Co. KG. By downloading, copying, duplicating or otherwise sharing images, you automatically consent to a legally binding agreement with the author. The following describes the conditions under which images may be licensed.

1. Non-Commercial Use

  1. The non-commercial onetime use of low-res images is free of charge
  2. Image material must contain the watermark Altmeyers Enzyklopädie
  3. Source (well readable):
    1. Print: Altmeyers Enzyklopädie
    2. Online: Link to altmeyers.org
  4. Image material cannot be altered in any way.
  5. Image material provided to us by the following partners is excluded from licensing and may not be used:
    1. Kenhub
    2. MedServation
  6. Please send us a notification by e-mail in advance, stating the intended use and link of the required image material

2. Commercial Use

  1. The commercial use (direct or indirect) of hi-res and low-res image material (online and print) is is a chargeable service.
  2. Upon receipt of a license, Licensee enters into a non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable commercial agreement (online and print) with Licensor.
  3. Sources (well readable):

    2. Online: Link to altmeyers.org
  4. Image material provided to us by the following partners is excluded from licensing and may not be used:
    1. Kenhub
    2. MedServation
  5. Prices per image and year and use case (including all regions).
    1. Low-Res: 50,-EUR
    2. High-Res: 100,-EUR
  6. Please send us your request by email, stating the use case, the link, screenshots and article name of the images you require.

Disclaimer and conditions

  • Any change in the intended use by the licensee must be made in writing and in advance.
  • The licensor assumes no liability for any claims/damages of third parties to the licensee.
  • The Terms of Use may be changed by Licensors at any time, at will and without giving any reason.
  • The licensor reserves the right to deny licenses.
  • The licensor reserves the right to withdraw already issued licenses, in case of violation of the conditions of use, or without giving any reasons.
