Lichen planus exanthematicus: small papular lichen planus with aggregation of the efflorescences to larger plaques, danger of erythroderma.

Scabies. close-up: linear and hook-shaped, reddened, infiltrated ducts. severe itching in the area of the ductal structures and their surroundings.

Mycosis fungoides. patch stage (early form of mycosis fungoides) Sharply limited, scaly erythema existing for several years. atrophic wrinkling of the skin on the shoulder. no significant clinical symptoms, especially no itching. low functional livedo (upper arm left). treatment in this stage blanching and with PUVA therapy.

Pustulosis, acute generalized exanthematous: acutely occurring erythrodermal exanthema with histologically proven subcorneal pustular formation in a 62-year-old patient. exfoliative (coarse lamellar) scaling.

Scabies. line and hook-shaped, reddened, infiltrated ducts on the field skin, considerable itching.

Lupus erythematosus, subacute-cutaneous: a disease pattern that has existed for several years, progressing intermittently with homogeneously round or oval as well as anular plaques; no itching, no feeling of illness; ANA: 1:180; anti-Ro Ak+, no dsDNA-Ak.

Circumscribed scleroderma: white moderately indurated plaques, the broad red border is striking.

PEP. massive itching, disseminated urticarial papules and plaques. the "red" tone of the efflorescences, so distinct in white skin, is hardly visible in dark skin.

Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta.

Nummular dermatitis: Multiple, reddened, confluent, roundish plaques and scratch excoriations on the back of a 76-year-old female patient; at the upper margin of the picture a punctiform, whitish, atrophic scar is visible.

Light ageing of the skin: spotty skin with hyper- and small spot depigmentation.

Lichen sclerosus et atrophicus: General view of a bullous form: In the region of the lower right buttocks a sharply defined plaque of about 7 x 3.5 cm in size with a parchment-like folded skin surface in a 66-year-old female patient.

PEP: Atypical minus variant with few, clearly itchy, umbilical and periumbilical scaly plaques Note: the periumbilical region is often not markedly affected (DD: pemphigoid gestationis)

Leiomyoma (segmental cutaneous leiomyomatosis): Multiple, reddish-brownish papules in the upper abdomen, lateral thorax and back of a 49-year-old man.

Nodules: for 2 years slowly growing, 1.8 cm large, asymptomatic, firm, shifting, red, smooth nodule (epidermal cyst).

Dermatitis herpetiformis: Multiple, prickly, itchy, scratched excoriations in a 35-year-old female patient; the disease has existed for about 1 year with intermittent course.

Syphilis Early syphilis: maculo-papular , sometimes psoriasiform syphilis

Parapsoriasis en plaques, large: symptomless, well limited. disseminated stains and plaques. When the skin is wrinkled, a cigarette-paper-like pseudoatrophic architecture of the skin surface is visible (important diagnostic sign!).

Acanthosis nigricans maligna: asymptomatic brown coloration of the skin and hyperkeratosis in the left neck, décolleté and shoulder blade region existing for about 3-4 months in a 66-year-old patient with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
