Tuberculin test

Skin test for the determination of tuberculin sensitivity. There are several possibilities:

• Percutaneous test: application of a tuberculin ointment (FREKA test, Moro sample).
• Intracutaneous test: injection of a tuberculin dilution (Mendel-Mantoux). S.u. Tuberculin skin test (THT)
• Tine test: Multipuncture test by pressing a stamp with tuberculin into the skin. Evaluation after 48 and 72 hours: evaluation of the delayed type reaction. Positive reaction in case of induration in the Tine test or in the intradermal sample, usually confluent papules in the patch test.
• Multitest Merieux: Stamp with 8 allergens, including tuberculin, to assess cellular immunity. Reading after 48 hours.
