Varicosis primary I83.9

Degenerative disease of the venous wall without prior damage to the veins in the extra/epifascial venous system, which develops under the influence of various realization factors (e.g. orthostasis load) in the course of life in varying degrees and severity to varicose veins (see below varicosis).

In > 70% of the cases a familial burden is found.

General weakness of the connective tissue, congenital valvular insufficiency or aplasia of the venous valves, arteriovenous anastomoses (see also Klippel-Trénauney syndrome)
