Ruhr herb flowers

Extract from the flowers of the yellow cat's-paw, Helichrysum arenarium (Gnaphalium arenarium), s. under sand-strawflower, a plant of the family Asteraceae (daisy family), native to Europe and Central Asia, up to 30 cm high.

Helichrysum arenarium (sand-strawflower) is the parent plant of Flores stoecchados (citrinae), the official yellow cat's-foot (flowers) according to Ph.Helv.7 and EB6.

Cosmetics: Helichrysum arenarium extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The extract soothes discomfort on the skin and scalp, has an antiseborrhoeic and skin-caring effect.

Naturopathic indications (tea preparations) are bladder and kidney problems. Flores stoecchados works as a diuretic and for cholecystitis. Indication according to commission E: Dyspeptic complaints.
