Multiple, 0.5-2.0 cm large, skin-coloured or light red, bulging, protuberant papules and nodules with smooth, shiny surface, partly interspersed with telangiectasia.

Atheroma: Sharply defined bulging, largely hairless tumour in the area of the capillitium.

Angiosarcoma of the head and facial skin: the 69-year-old patient noticed this rapidly growing and recurrently bleeding 3x5 cm large, little symptomatic node around the capillitium for 6 months. After incomplete preliminary surgery within a few weeks formation of the present recurrent node. The inconspicuous erythema around the node is noticeable. After the micrographically controlled surgery, the tumor was only free of tumor after an approximately 10 x 10 cm large excision.

Keratosis actinica, keratotic type: extensive "field carcinization" of the scalp, beginning transformation into an invasive, spinocellular carcinoma (here detailed picture).

Squamous cell carcinoma in actinic pre-damaged scalp:Continuously growing verrucous, broad-based, hard node of the scalp, existingfor severalmonths; multiple actinic keratoses.

Basal cell carcinoma, nodular. centrally ulcerated, nonpainful ulcerated nodule in the region of the temple. ulcer not painful. characteristic for the diagnosis "basal cell carcinoma" is the raised, reflecting wall of the "ulcer" and the bizarre vessels.

Keratoakanthomas, multiple eruptive. suddenly formed, now 1.0 cm in diameter, hard, painless, bowl-shaped node with marginal lip and central horn plug (typical morphology). sliding on the pad. no regional lymph node swelling. in the surrounding area beside single actinic keratoses, several skin-coloured or slightly yellowish solid papules up to 0.4 cm in size (initial keratoakanthomas). 73-year-old patient with long-term immunosuppression (!).

Melanoma, malignant, nodular, solitary, solid, sharply defined, surface smooth, non-hairy, black speckled, symptomless lump, growing for more than a year, foundduring routine examination (lump has always been there). Incident light microscopy revealed strong grey-blue streaks and massive pigment network break-ups.

Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin: approx. 3 cm in diameter, coarse, crusty, exuding tumour with an inflammatory reddening of the edges in the area of the neck of a 95-year-old female patient, which empties purulent secretion under pressure.

Tinea capitis superficialis: slowly centrifugally growing focal point for 3 months; moderate scaling.

verruca seborrhoica. multiple verrucae seborrhoicae, here as a familial disease. densely standing, mostly pinhead-sized, brownish flat papules aggregated in places. occasionally itching. clinically morphologically no inflammatory symptoms detectable (see below dermatosis papulosa nigra).

Primary cutaneous follicular center lymphoma: Condition after treatment of an alopecia areata with DNCB about 20 years ago; for several months now, formation of smooth, painless plaques and nodules, which, according to a biopsy, affected the entire anterior half of the capillitium.

Cornu cutaneum: multiple plaques and nodules with exophytic growth and hyperkeratotic surface, localized on the actinic massive pre-damaged capillitium of an elderly patient.
