Nevus lipomatosus cutaneus superficialis D23.L

Circumscribed adipose tissue nevus (lipoma of the skin) with development of fatty tissue lobules in the dermis, which develops from ectopic adipocytes of the dermis. In rare cases, these "nevoid skin lipomas" are combined with lipomas of deeper organ systems, e.g. muscles.

Since birth; m>w;

Soft, skin-coloured to yellow or yellow-red, isolated or more frequently aggregated papules or plaques, existing since birth, grouped over an area of 1-10 cm, as well as flat, soft, smooth or even wart-like nodules, sometimes with a cauliflower-like aspect.

Rarely described are giant cutaneous fat tissue nevi that extend over a large area (e.g. back).

Complex hamartomas in combination with trichofolliculomas, nevus sebaceus are known.

To what extent the "Naevus lipomatosus cutaneus superficialis" is identical with the"congenital fibrolipomatous hematoma of the calcaneus" described by Larralde de Luna et al. 1990 is to be discussed.
