Melan-a

Melan-A (MART1) serves as an important immunohistological marker for melanocytes and melanocytic tumors. The available antibody is more sensitive than HMB45
and the detection of Melan-A is positive in epidermal and dermal melanocytes, in steroid producing cells (adrenal gland) and in cutaneous clear cell sarcoma.
