Cymbopogon martini oil (inci)

Cymbopogon martini oil is the essential oil of Cymbopogon martini var. Martinii, also called palmarosa, a plant of the sweet grass family, obtained by steam distillation from the fresh or dried stems, flowers and leaves of grass.

Palmarosa is a perennial reed-like, aromatic grass, up to 3 m high, which is cultivated in Asia. The leaves of pamarosa have a rosy to citrus-like scent.

The rose-scented essential oil is used in cosmetic products as a skin care product for acne and wrinkles and as a fragrance.

The main components of essential pamarosa oil are geraniol, farnesol, geranyl acetate, citronellol, citral, dipentene and limonene.
