Empirical medicine: Internal: respiratory complaints: bronchitis, bronchial asthma, indigestion, loss of appetite, gout, rheumatic complaints and for bladder and kidney complaints, for blood purification, nervous overexcitement.

External: as a gargle for inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, foot perspiration, wounds, chronic skin conditions, itchy skin.

Iridoid glycosides, flavonoids, tannins, phenolcarboxylic acids and triterpene saponins.

In vitro studies: Inhibition of proinflammatory mediators.
