A shrub that grows wild in forests and bushes, but is also cultivated in gardens. It can grow up to 1.50 m high and is highly prized for its fruit, raspberries. Flowering time: May to June. The fruits are eaten raw or in jam, jelly, jelly, juice or similar.
The dried leaves (raspberry leaves - Rubi idaei folium) are used phytotherapeutically; the quality is specified in the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.).
