Shrub plant growing wild in the forest and bushes, but also cultivated in gardens, up to 1.50 m high, which is very appreciated for its fruit, raspberries. The fruits are eaten raw or in jam, jelly, porridge, juice or similar.
Phytotherapeutically, the dried leaves (raspberry leaves - Rubi idaei folium) are used, the quality is specified in the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.).
