Liquiritin

Flavone glycoside which is detectable as an efficacy determining drug in the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra(Liquiritiae radix).

With its aglycone liquiritinigenin spasmolytic properties. Furthermore, neuroprotective, antibacterial and apoptosis-promoting properties have been demonstrated experimentally.
