Quality is defined in the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.):

HMPC monograph: Monograph has been discontinued.

ESCOP monograph: Nervous heart complaints, support of cardiovascular function
Commission E: Negative monograph in the absence of sufficient scientific data, to be described as a "zero monograph" in the absence of risk factors.

Empirical medicine: Strengthens cardiovascular function, infusion as a gargle for mild inflammation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat, also for non-specific diarrhea.

Ingredients: oligomeric procyanidins and flavonoids.
