Milwaukee-shoulder-syndrome

Progressive, destructive arthropathy of the glenohumeral joint (shoulder joint) with involvement of the rotator cuff as part of calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease. In addition to osteoarthritic changes and joint effusion, synovial hyperplasia, destruction of cartilage and underlying bone destruction occur, with rotator cuff rupture as a complication.
