Diarrhea, raspberry jelly

Raspberry gelatinous diarrhea typically occurs in amebiasis as part of the intestinal form. The parasitic disease is caused by the pathogen Entamoeba histolytica (Herold 2018).

The stools are unformed but non-aqueous (Caspary 2006) and contain bloody-mucous admixtures (Reuken 2019).
