Hand-foot-mouth disease: painful 0.3-0.4 cm large, whitish blisters (arrows) on the gingiva and the skin of the lower lip, also on the hard palate.

lipoatrophy, localized after glucocorticosteroid injections. general view: 2.5 x 3.0 cm large, circular area with whitish atrophy of the skin and telangiectasia. clear loss of substance of subcutis and fatty tissue. distal of the atrophy a slight swelling in the sense of a lymphatic congestion is visible. the skin changes developed in the course of the last two years, after a single steroid injection into the left knee because of knee problems.

Vitiligo: extensive white areas with residual stripey pigmentation in the area of the shoulders, neck and décolleté.

Scar: older, recessive, irregular thoracotomy scar.

Candida sepsis: Oral mucosa of the previously described patient: Flat, thick, easily scraped off, whitish coating (base underneath slightly bleeding). Masses of C. albicans from oral mucosa swabs were culturally proven.

Lichen sclerosus et atrophicus: Severe perianal and vulvar infestation with speckled pattern of sclerotic and atrophic areas.

Leukoplakia : Large cobblestone-like fielded leukoplakia of the tongue surface.

Pityriasis rosea: clearly visible primary medallion in the right axilla. the red colour typical of the flock in white skin is completely absent in dark skin.

Scabies norvegica: Severe, generalized, untreated scabies of the whole integument with flat, psoriasiform scaly crusts at the back of the head; broad perilesional erythema.

Lichen planus mucosae: flat, verrucous lichen planus of the oralmucosa; considerable burning discomfort when eating acidic food and drinks.

Herpes simplex recidivans: recurrent blistering at intervals of several months.

Lichen nitidus in dark skin, generalized form, detailed view of the small non-aggregated, disseminated, sometimes linear, light (no red tone) papules.

Folliculitis decalvans: Initial changes, scalp appears swollen, with sunken, conspicuously prominent follicular structures, occasional tufts, individual follicles without hairline.

Pronounced candidosis of the oral mucosa in HIV infection

Scar: excessive scarring in Ehlers-Danlos syndrome .

Lichen sclerosus of the penis: pronounced whitish, extensive sclerosing of the glans penis. prepuce with small white papules and plaques. circular constriction of the foreskin by a constricting sclerosis ring.

Lichen planus mucosae: less symptomatic white plaques in exanthematic lichen planus of the skin.

Vitiligo: Large-scale depigmentation in the area of the buttocks, here as negative imprint of the bikini pants.

Vitiligo. solitary or multiple, white, hypopigmented, sharply defined patches. shown here is a detailed picture. further patches were found on the neck region, hands, axillary region, nipples, navel, genito anal region.
