Stomatitis plasmacelluaris K13.7

Rare form of chronic circumscribed stomatitis, which can be seen as a counterpart to balanoposthitis (or vulvitis) plasmacellularis or cheilitis plasmacellularis. The entity of this disease is controversial (see also remarks on plasmocytosis circumorificialis).

Localized, non-specific (non-neoplastic) inflammatory response to chronically acting local stimuli.

Lacquer-like shiny, brownish-red single focus in the area of the oral mucosa with increased vulnerability.

Hyperplastic epithelium with band-like subepithelial inflammatory zone of mature plasma cell and lymphocytes.
