Pseudotumour of cutaneous inflammatory D48.5

Bahadori and Liebow 1973; first description in Haut: Hurt and Santa Cruz 1990;

Very rare (only a few cases have been described worldwide), mostly extracutaneous (lung, spleen, lymph nodes) localized, benign, plasma cell-rich (also plasma cell granuloma) pseudolymphoma.

Clinically typical is a solitary, asymptomatic, red-brown plaque or a corresponding lump with a smooth surface. Rare is a multiple occurrence.

Dermal nodular infiltrate with lymphocytes, numerous plasma cells and reactive germinal centers (here expression of CD20; CD79a). Isolated eosinophilic and neutrophilic granulocytes. Tendency to fibrosis.

Immunohistology: Polyclonality of the infiltrate.
