Sudden whitening of the hair L67.8

Acute graying or whitening of the entire head of hair, also called canities subita, is a rare condition in which the patient complains of graying of the hair "overnight." Canities subita has been associated with vitiligo, telogen effluvium, alopecia areata, and psychogenic causes (Shah VV et al. 2016; Tan SP et al. 2012).
