Drugs, skin changes

Skin lesions caused by the chronic use of "drugs" and thus are a monitoring sign for their use.

Injection sites:

• Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation along fibrosed vessels (track marks)
• Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation due to improper venous congestion (tourniquet hyperpigmentation)
• scars, round atrophic due to subcutaneous injections (skin poping scars)
• Puff tattoos by injection of foreign material (sooting tatoos)
• Edema on the back of the hand (putty hand syndrome)
• Lesional infections
