CHAND is the acronym for Curly Hair Ankyloblepharon Nail Dysplasia.

CHANDS denotes an autosomal recessive with pseudodominance inherited genodermatosis. The CHAND syndrome as a minor variant is possibly a syndrome of the tricho-onychotic type which can be attributed to ectodermal dysplasia (normal sweating ability, no dental abnormalities).

Ankyloblepharone; frizzy, but otherwise normal hair (see also wool hair); hypoplastic nails.
