(¤ 1904, † 1990) Dermatologist, working in Berlin, Breslau. 1946, as successor to Gottfried Walther Krantz, called to the University Skin Clinic Göttigen. Bode was already assistant and senior physician at this clinic under Rudolf Erhard Riecke. His scientific focus was on dermatological radiotherapy. Since 1952 the clinic had the world's first medical facility for the treatment of skin tumours with fast electrons. In 1959, at Bode's insistence, the clinic moved into a new, conceptually pioneering skin clinic in Göttingen. Bode was retired in 1972. His successor was Helmut Ippen.
