Triolein peg-6 esters (inci)

Triisolein PEG-6 ester is a complex glycerol- oleic acid triester that has been transesterified to form a compound with PEG-6. "PEG" denotes a PEG (polyethylene glycol) derivative. The number after "PEG-" (or the first number after "PEG/...-") indicates the average number of molecular units -CH2-CH2-O- (here 6). The mixture of substances is used in cosmetic formulations. The ester compound acts as a skin care product (keeps the skin in a good condition), as emollient (makes the skin smooth and supple), viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products), refatting agent and as solvent (dissolves other substances).
