Stearamide mipa (inci)

Stearamide is the amide of stearic acid (octadecanamide) with the molecular formula: C18H37NO, "MIPA" is the acronym for monoisopropanolamines of a compound from the group of alkanolamines.

Stearamide MIPA is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance mixture acts as a viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity (toughness) of cosmetic products), antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, e.g. of hair) and foaming agent (increases foaming and improves volume, structure and durability of the foam).
