Sophora japonica leaf extract (inci)

Sophora japonica leaf extract is the extract from the leaves of Sophora japonica, the Japanese pagoda tree, a tree in the Faboideae subfamily of the legume family (Fabaceae) that is native to China, Japan and Korea and grows up to 30 meters high.

Sophora japonica leaf extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The leaf extract acts as a skin protectant (protects the skin from external influences).

Bark and seeds, but especially the fruit skin are poisonous.
