Sophora japonica bud extract (inci)

Sophora japonica bud extract is the extract from the fresh buds of Sophora japonica, the Japanese pagoda tree, a tree native to China, Japan and Korea in the Faboideae subfamily of the legume family (Fabaceae) that grows up to 30 m tall.
Sophora japonica bud extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The bud extract acts as a skin protectant (protects the skin from external influences) and soothing (relieves discomfort on the skin and scalp - e.g. itching).
