Sophora japonica bud extract

Sophora japonica bud extract is the name given to the extract from the fresh buds of Sophora japonica, the Japanese pagoda tree, a tree in the subfamily Faboideae from the legume family (Fabaceae), which grows up to 30 m high and is native to China, Japan and Korea.
Sophora japonica bud extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The bud extract acts as a skin protection agent (protects the skin from external influences) and soothing (relieves discomfort on the skin and scalp - e.g. itching).
