Sesame indicum seed extract (inci)

Sesame indicum seed extract refers to the extract from the seed of Sesame indicum, the sesame plant.

Sesame indicum seed extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The extract acts as an emollient (makes the skin smooth and supple), hair conditioner (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume). The extract also has a soothing effect (relieves discomfort on the skin and scalp, e.g. itching) and as a skin care product (keeps the skin in good condition).
