Scrophularia nodosa extract (inci)

Scrophularia nodosa extract is an extract from the herb and roots of Scrophularia nodosa, the nodular tree root, a plant native to Europe (rare), Central Asia and North America and up to 100cm high from the family of the brown root plants (Scrophulariaceae).

Iridoids (aucubin), flavonoids (diosmin, hesperidin), tannins, saponins

Scrophularia nodosa extract is used in cosmetic formulations. It has a skin caring and calming effect.

Naturopathy: Scrophulariae radix, the root extract of the plant (no monographs available) is commonly used for non-specific inflammatory reactions of the skin.
