Prunus armeniaca kernel oil (inci)

Prunus armenica kernel oil refers to apricot kernel oil obtained by pressing or extracting the kernels of the apricot fruit. Prunus armenica kernel oil is a pale yellow, pleasantly almond-scented oil which is quickly absorbed by the skin and leaves a silky shimmer but no greasy film.

Pectin, organic acids (about 60-70% oleic acid, about 25% linoleic acid, about 6% palmitic acid and about 2% steric acid. Further after tocopherol, traces of vitamin A, niacin (B3) and amygdalin.
Apricot kernel oil (usually a refined apricot kernel oil is available) is used for the care of dry and sensitive skin.

Skin care: Mix 1 tablespoon apricot oil with 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar. Apply the paste in circular movements to the face, neck and décolleté. The sugar removes superficial flakes of skin while the oil nourishes the skin.

Apricot oil and quark face mask: mix 1 tablespoon of apricot kernel oil and 2 tablespoons of quark. The apricot kernel oil-quark mixture is applied thinly to the facial skin. It should be left on for 20 minutes, then rinse off with warm and washed water.
Mild peeling: For a mild peeling, apricot kernel oil can be mixed with almond bran.
