The cyclic silicone oil Cyclopentasiloxane is a low molecular weight, liquid siloxane(silicone) which is used in cosmetic products as a synthetic oil component. Cyclopentasiloxanes act as hair conditioning agents. Furthermore the cyclic silicone oil acts as emollient and solvent.
