An evergreen, herbaceous plant up to 15 cm tall with hairy leaf stalks, red to purple flowers and capsule fruits, which grows in the Alps and the Balkan Mountains and belongs to the primrosefamily. Flowering time: June to September, fruit ripening: July to August one year after flowering.
