Doctorate in 1929 on the subject: "Foreign body granulomas of the skin". 1955 habilitation, 1957 as successor of Roederer director of the Dermatological Clinic Strasbourg. Field(s) of research: Granuloma anulare, Necrobiosisi lipoidica, juvenile melanoma. Together with Kolopp first description of the pagetoid reticulosis. 1932 together with Lucien Marie Pautrier first description of the lipomelanotic reticulosis named after Pautrier and Woringer.
