(¤ 1841, † 1916) Eduard Lang originally came from Klascsau (Slovakia). Grammar school in Pest; 1865 doctorate. Lang was a student of Wertheim and Billroth. Habilitation for syphilis and surgery in Innsbruck. 1873 appointed associate professor and head of the newly established Department of Syphilis and Dermatology in Innsbruck. 1887 Resignation from this position. He then succeeded Heinrich Auspitz at the Vienna General Hospital. His clinical activities focused on syphilis and tuberculosis. His successor in Innsbruck was Adolf Jarisch.
