(¤ 1909,  1981) Born in Porz in 1909, Kalkhoff studied medicine in Göttingen, Cologne and Munich until 1934. From 1934, he worked as a dermatological assistant in Göttingen under Straub, R.E. Riecke and G.W. Krantz, and in Oldenburg, Hanover and Münster. 1943 Habilitation in Münster under Carl Moncorps on the subject of "Experimental studies on the process of epidermal sensitization". 1949/1950 Chief Physician at the Skin Clinic St. Georg Hamburg. 1950 Elected as Director of the Dermatological Clinic Marburg. From 1955 on regular professor. 1960 Call to the chair at the University Dermatology Clinic in Freiburg. Habilitation candidates at KW Kalkhoff were E. Macher, L.Illig and HJ Heite. Dermatologist, working in Münster, Marburg and Freiburg.
