Haemorrhagic fever transmitted by ticks (Dermocentor species) (arbovirosis; genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae). In ticks, the pathogen is transmitted transstadially and transovarially to the surrounding area. A sylvatic circulation among wild small mammals is suspected. Mites seem to play a role here.
