Assistance with Moritz Kaposi in Vienna, later with Isidor Neumann. 1887 habilitation. 1900 Appointment as associate professor. Short-term management of the Wiedner Hospital; in 1908, after E. Lang left the hospital, he became head of the Department of Syphilis and Dermatology at the General Hospital in Vienna. The main focus of his clinical activities was syphilis. 1907 First description of livedo racemosa in two syphilis patients.
