Non-ionic, low-fat O/W lotion as a carrier of various water-soluble active ingredients in the treatment of acute and sub-acute skin inflammations. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of the scalp (fat content 5%). The main strength of this preparation lies in the application of suspended, water-insoluble glucocorticoids for external application which otherwise could only be applied as an alcoholic solution. Furthermore, urea or lactic acid can be incorporated as active ingredients (see also urea emulsion, hydrophilic 5- or 10% (NRF 11.72.)
