Pentadecanoic acid is a saturated fatty acid with the empirical formula C15 H30 O2. Its salts and esters are called pentadecanoates. Pentadecanoates are mainly found in animal fats, including milk fat, in ruminant body fat, but rarely in vegetable fats. Glyceryl pentadecanoate (INCI) is used in cosmetic products as emulsifier and surfactant.
