Acronym for "microbial volatile organic compound". S.u. VOC. MVOCs (microbial volatile organic compounds) are an independent group of volatile organic substances. These are compounds that are formed by microorganisms, especially moulds. It is assumed that some of these compounds are specific for moulds. MVOCs occur in the interior air in general in clearly lower concentration than for example solution components.
