In this method, the sclerosing agent is injected into the semi-empty vein on the lying leg using a 27 Gauche needle. The plunger of the syringe should glide easily (without much pressure).
Since the sclerosing agent flows off slowly in a horizontal position, its contact time with the endothelium of the vein is considerably longer.
