Valerian oil, obtained by distillation from the valerian root.

Does not havepharmacopoeial quality(Ph. Eur.).

HMPC monograph: traditional use: mild mental stress symptoms and sleep promotion.

Essential oil, monoterpenes, e.g. bomeol, bomyl acetate, bomyl isovalerate, camphene, camphor, carvyl acetate, 1,8-cineole, p-cymene, fenchene, myrcene, myrtenol; sesquiterpenes, e.g. β-bisabolene, y-cadinene, β-elemene, faurinone, valeranone, valerenal, valerenol, e/z-valerenyl acetate, e/z-valerenyl isovalerate, volatile sesquiterpene acids acetoxyvaleric acid, hydroxyvaleric acid and valerenic acid.

Phenolcarboxylic acids: chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid; alkaloid actinidine

Allergy to an ingredient, full bath for open wounds, skin injuries, acute skin diseases, fever, infections, severe circulatory disorders and heart failure. Children and adolescents under 12 years. no sufficient data for lactation and pregnancy.
