The lesser hawkweed (Hieracium pilosella), also called mouse-ear hawkweed, is a perennial, herbaceous plant of the hawkweed genus (Hieracium) within the daisy family (Asteraceae). The plant reaches heights of 5 to 30 cm. The stem is leafless, the leaves are narrow-ovate. The flowering time of the lesser hawkweed is from May to October.

Hieracium pilosella extract is obtained from the herb of the plant.

Phytotherapeutically used are the aerial parts and roots (Pilosellae herba cum radice).
