Guaiazulene (from guaiac and French azure "blue"), also called azulon, is a substance that is synthetically extracted from guaiac wood.

Guaiazulene is a blue crystalline aromatic hydrocarbon which is used especially in cosmetics and medicine. Guaiazulene has the same properties as camomile azulene, chamazulene and is often used as a chamazulene substitute in cosmetic products. Guaiazulene has calming, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Furthermore, guaiazulene has antimicrobial effects.

Guaiazulene is used in lipsticks, hand creams and sun protection products.
