Belonging to the butterfly family, Fabacae (Leguminosae), perennial herbaceous plant, 60-120 cm high, bluish flowers in clusters. Flowering time is July/August.

Used the flowering herb to enhance milk secretion and alst diuretic, formerly also supportive in diabetes.
In sheep that had eaten honeysuckle, poisoning with tracheal foam, pulmonary edema and voluminous hydrothorex is reported.
