The burdock bedstraw, Galium aparine, also known as climbing sticky plant, is an annual herbaceous, 50-150cm tall plant from the genus of rennet herbs (Galium) within the family of reddish plants (Rubiaceae). The plant is native to Central, Southern and Eastern Europe.

Burdock rennet is the parent plant of Herba Galii aparinis (off. DAC86)

Ingredients: a substance similar to rennet enzyme; galiosin, rubia glycoside, the iridoglycosides asperuloside and aucubin, and essential oils.

Herba Galii aparinis is commonly used for skin diseases and as a diuretic.
