Project management in clinical studies includes all functions from planning to the final report of a study or post-marketing surveillance. The project manager is responsible for the organisation and logistics of the study, coordinates all individual processes and is the link between all parties involved in the study, such as the sponsor, the Principal Investigator (head of the clinical study), all participating trial centres, the Clinical Research Organisation and the Clinical Research Associates.
