Term used in statistics as a yardstick in clinical studies. Patient Reported Outcome refers to the effect of a therapy as experienced by the patient, e.g. change in strength, pain, shortness of breath, appetite, etc. Increasingly, the Patient Reported Outcome is considered important, especially in advanced disease; not free of placebo effects.
