DART 2020 is the acronym for "German Antibiotic Resistance Strategy" and refers to a strategic concept of the Federal Republic of Germany to curb the further development of antibiotic resistance. One of the most important causes of the dramatic increase in resistance and the resulting deterioration in the control of bacterial infections is undoubtedly the widespread and untargeted use of antibiotics.
